NoLibs gets DA outreach center

Just before opening his office’s first Community Outreach Center yesterday, District Attorney Seth Williams said, “We can’t solve problems sitting in an Ivory Tower in Center City. We’re doing all we can to solve the problems where they happen.”

He wants to open five more community/law-enforcement hubs — like the one in Northern Liberties yesterday — but without donated space, “I don’t think we can.” The new center’s space is donated by developer Bart Blatstein and is inside the Piazza at Northern Liberties. It will let residents collaborate with prosecutors, police and city agencies that handle quality-of-life issues.
