At least one person was killed and six others were injured in shootings Saturday and Sunday in Philadelphia, according to authorities.
Police said a 46-year-old man died Saturday night after he was shot three times at around 8 p.m. on the 400 block of W. Cambria Street in the Fairhill section of North Philadelphia.
Investigators did not recover any weapons at the scene, and no one has been arrested.
A 22-year-old man was shot twice during an attempted robbery while walking through a park Saturday night in Hunting Park, authorities said.
It occurred at around 10 p.m. on the 1200 block of W. Hunting Park Avenue.
The suspect pulled out a gun and announced a robbery before shooting the man in the back and leg. Police said the gunman fled the scene without taking anything.
The victim was rushed to Temple University Hospital, where he is in stable condition.
Officers found a 57-year-old man with two gunshot wounds to his left arm at around 9:15 p.m. Saturday on the 3100 block of Berkeley Drive, which is in the Abbotsford Homes public housing development in East Falls.
His injuries are not expected to be life-threatening, according to police.
Two men were hospitalized following a violent incident Saturday morning in West Oak Lane.
Police who responded to the 2000 block of Eastburn Avenue at around 10:45 a.m. found a 42-year-old man with a stab wound in his abdomen and a 46-year-old man who had been shot in the arm.
Both men were transported to Albert Einstein Medical Center, where they are in stable condition. Authorities reported no arrests.
A 53-year-old man sustained a graze wound to his left ankle after shots rang out at 10:30 a.m. Saturday near the corner of 7th and Pike streets in Hunting Park, police said.
Authorities said two men were rushed to the hospital after gunfire early Saturday morning in Kensington.
A 30-year-old man was shot five times in his buttocks and lower left leg, and a 25-year-old man was hit three times in his lower left leg at around 12:30 a.m. on the 2700 block of Jasper Street.
Both were taken to Temple Hospital and listed in stable condition.
No arrests were reported by police in connection with any of the shootings.
Crashes leave 1 dead, 1 seriously injured
A female pedestrian was killed Saturday evening in a hit-and-run crash in South Philadelphia, authorities said.
Just after 5 p.m., officers responded to the area of 8th Street and Oregon Avenue, where they found the woman, who police described as between 50 and 70 years old. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators have yet to provide a description of the vehicle.
A 72-year-old man was seriously injured following a moped crash at around 4:30 p.m. Saturday in Northeast Philadelphia, authorities said.
He was riding the moped on Holme Avenue and was stopped at a red light on Revere Street when a driver rear-ended him, according to a preliminary investigation. The driver remained at the scene.
The man was rushed to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital, where he is in critical condition.
Detectives continue to investigate the crash, and there was no word on potential charges.
