2017 has some bright spots and one of them is definitely the 10th Annual Roots Picnic at Philly’s Festival Pier.
The all-day outdoor music festival was founded by legendary hip-hop band The Roots back in 2007, and has featured some of music’s biggest names over the years.
“Ten years ago this started as a concept, an idea, a conversation between me, Tariq (Black Thought), Ahmir (Questlove) and Rich (Nichols),” says Shawn Gee, the Roots’ longtime manager and partner at Maverick Management, in a release. “It’s amazing that it has grown into such a valued piece of the cultural landscape of our hometown of Philadelphia.”
This year’s festival will take place on Saturday, June 3. Check the full lineup below:
