The full-service catering and hospitality company has come up with a creative way to make celebrating your birthday, graduation, engagement or just because occasion tasty and memorable no matter who you’re celebrating with.
With 12 Street’s new Celebration Boxes, Philadelphians will be able to celebrate special occasions with different themed kits filled with customizable meals and desserts. Being a company that has supplied meals for a variety of events ranging from intimate get-togethers and corporate events to large-scale galas and weddings in the past, it only makes sense that they shift their services to fit social distancing needs.
According to the release, the individual Celebration Box presentation is specifically designed with safe social distancing practices in mind, as well as virtual events, where guests can enjoy the same meal with various entrée options together, but apart. 12th Street Catering’s high-quality dishes and creative menus make it easy to share a toast and enjoy sweet treats with groups. Meals can be created to serve two to six people and come fully prepared in biodegradable boxes made of recycled balsa wood and rice paper. Each Celebration Box can also be personalized based on the occasion with add-ons and customizable elements, including adding a logo to the dessert.
Each box is themed for different occasions.
12 Street’s Dinner Box is perfect to order if you are commemorating something that typically calls for a celebratory restaurant visit. The box comes with of two appetizers, roasted togarashi salmon, a skillet-seared flat iron steak entrée, two sides, and a variety of desserts such as cookies and chocolate-dipped strawberries. However, if you’d rather have a lighter meal, the company also has a Cocktail Box featuring an array of six appetizers, including savory galettes, yuzu glazed chicken skewers and spinach parmesan fritters. The Dinner Box comes out to be $60 per person and the Cocktail Box prices at $39 per person.
If you’re someone who likes to celebrate on a sweet note, 12th Street also is offering a Dessert Box filled with a variety of cake jars, home-baked pop tarts, French macaroons, a campfire s’mores kit and customizable homemade cookies. The box works for most occasions, but also if you’re just in the mood to treat yourself, and comes out to be $28 per person. For daytime celebrations, the catering company is offering a Brunch Box as well that includes breakfast hot pockets, overnight oats, French toast casserole, trail mix and fresh fruit. The Brunch Box comes out to be $35 per person.
As a special bonus, each Celebration Box will also come with flavored sugar drops that converts champagne, beer or spirits into delicious cocktails.

12th Street is also offering a Seasonal Box (think herb grilled chicken, peppered shrimp kabobs, oatmeal cream whoopie pies and more for $24.95) a Barbecue Box (think grilled flank steak, skillet cornbread, a fresh berry trio and more for $24.95) and a Mexican Boxed Lunch (think grilled salmon, fiesta rice, smoked chili and sea salt brownies and more for $24.95) if you’re looking for meals on the lighter side.
In addition to the new Celebration Boxes, 12th Street Catering is also offering Virtual Cooking Class Boxes if you’d rather celebrate in a more hands-on way. Each box includes ingredients for a two-person meal that can be prepared in your own kitchen and 12th Street Catering Executive Chef Adam Delosso will even guide guests through the cooking process step-by-step via a live virtual class.
Orders for all meal packages can be placed by calling 12th Street Catering at 215-386-8595 five business days prior to the desired date, with a minimum of 10 boxes per order. Boxes can be delivered to multiple locations for each group and also come with free no-contact pickup and delivery within Center City and University City.
