2 arrested for makeshift meth lab inside Burlington County hotel room

Police found more than room service on Saturday when patrolling a South Jersey hotel.

During a routine check of the Econo Lodge Inn & Suites around 11 p.m., police say they smelled marijuana coming from one of the rooms.

Benjamin Shulman, 32, and Dana Ackerman, 29, were arrested for methamphetamine production with chemicals and empty vials seized as evidence.

Police say a small amount of heroin and marijuana was also found.

New Jersey State Police and the Burlington County Hazmat Unit decontaminated the room.
