Two people were found dead in separate incidents Sunday morning.
A 40-year-old woman was found unresponsive in the backyard of a property on the 1900 block of East Pike Street in Frankford shortly before 9 a.m. Sunday morning, according to authorities.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene by medics. Police did not identify the victim. The investigation is ongoing.
Just before 11:30 a.m. Sunday morning, a 61-year-old man’s body was found inside of a residence on the 5600 Block of Larchwood Avenue in the Cobb’s Creek section of West Philadelphia, according to authorities.
PFD Medics pronounced the man dead at 11:25 AM. The man’s body was heavily decomposed, according to police.
The scene is currently being held, and an investigation into the cause of his death is ongoing.
