At least two people were killed and two others were injured in separate shootings over the weekend in Philadelphia.
Officers responded just after 7:45 p.m. Saturday to the 1800 block of W. Tioga Street in the Tioga section of North Philadelphia, where they found a 42-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds inside a car, police said.
He was rushed to Temple University Hospital, where he died a short time later, according to authorities.
In West Philadelphia, a 35-year-old man died after he was shot in his chest at around 3:30 a.m. Saturday on the 300 block of N. Simpson Street, investigators said.
Police have not publicly identified either homicide victim.
Just after 11:15 p.m. Saturday, someone shot a 38-year-old man three times in his right leg and once in his left arm on the 4800 block of Tacony Street in the East Frankford neighborhood, authorities said. He is expected to survive, according to investigators.
A 29-year-old man was in critical condition after he was shot several times at around 1:45 p.m. Saturday on the 2100 block of Birch Street in Kensington, police said.
No one was arrested in the immediate aftermath of any of the shootings.
