Police identified two suspects Thursday wanted in connection with a Gayborhood killing that happened in the aftermath of the LGBTQ Pride march and festival.
Authorities are searching for Nysheem Hinson-Rakley, 22, and Tyrik Ransom, 24, as part of the investigation into the fatal shooting of 31-year-old Derwin Matthews Jr. He was shot in the abdomen just after 2:30 a.m. Monday, June 2, on the 200 block of S. Camac Street in Center City, police said.
A PPD spokesperson said a motive for the homicide has not yet been determined.
Hinson-Rakley’s last known address was on the 900 block of Parrish Street in North Philadelphia, while Ransom most recently lived on the 7100 block of Buist Avenue in Eastwick, according to authorities.
