Two people were injured in separate shootings this past Saturday, March 9.

Police said a 25-year-old woman was shot once in her left eye just before 7:30 p.m. Saturday inside a house on the 2000 block of Cecil B. Moore Avenue in North Philadelphia. Officers took her to Temple University Hospital, where she was in stable condition, according to authorities.

A man was taken into custody at the scene, and detectives recovered a gun, investigators said. No further information has been released.

Earlier, just after 3:45 p.m. Saturday, someone shot a 47-year-old man several times on the 300 block of E. Lehigh Avenue in Kensington, police said. He was hospitalized with wounds to his torso and left arm, and he is expected to survive, authorities said.
