This is usually the part of the program in which I would say something like, ‘the 2021 NFL season has reached its quarter-mile mark already.’ But we don’t have to because, you know, there are 17 games now.
Week 4 is upon us and the Eagles are expectedly rather heavy underdogs against a Kansas City Chiefs team looking to get back on track.
Hey, at least they aren’t the New York Giants, who look poised to beat the Eagles to last place in the NFC East this season.
Philadelphia is one of five teams that were at least seven-point underdogs this week, so let’s see what’s in store for us this Sunday.
NFL 2021, Week 4 odds
Washington Football Team (-1) at Atlanta Falcons
- Over 47.5 points scored: -105

It appears the bookies are giving plenty of recency bias to the Falcons after they came away with a victory against a brutal Giants team that practically gave Week 3 away. That was a battle of two very bad football teams. Washington is better than that and shouldn’t have much of an issue.
Houston Texans at Buffalo Bills (-16.5)
- Over/under 47: -110
- Texans Moneyline: +800
- Bills Moneyline: -1375
After an early bobble against the Steelers in Week 1, the Bills are looking like the powerhouse in the AFC that many expected them to be. Their next unfortunate victim will be the Texans and rookie quarterback Davis Mills, filling in for the injured Tyrod Taylor
Detroit Lions at Chicago Bears (-3)
- Over/under 42: -110
- Lions Moneyline: +120
- Bears Moneyline: -140
The Lions almost came away with a statement victory last week against the Baltimore Ravens, but we all saw Justin Tucker’s game-winning field goal from 66 yards out by now. Detroit is a mess, but the Bears aren’t in much better shape as head coach Matt Nagy apparently doesn’t know how to run an offense with rookie QB Justin Fields. Should be a fun day of dysfunction in Chicago.
Carolina Panthers at Dallas Cowboys (-4)

- Panthers Moneyline: +175
- Cowboys Moneyline: -210
The Cowboys are coming off a statement win over the Philadelphia Eagles so naturally, the entire football world gets excited. At home, they’ll be favorites against a Panthers team that is undefeated. However, a revamped Sam Darnold just lost his most dangerous offensive weapon in Christian McCaffery, who is dealing with a hamstring injury.
Indianapolis Colts at Miami Dolphins (-2)
- Over/under 42.5: -110
- Colts Moneyline: +110
- Dolphins Moneyline: -130
The Colts are still the underdogs on the road in Miami despite Carson Wentz being in better shape this week after dealing with a pair of ankle injuries. Meanwhile, the Dolphins put their future franchise QB, Tua Tagovailoa on injured reserve.
Cleveland Browns (-2) at Minnesota Vikings
- Over/under 51.5: -110
- Browns Moneyline: -135
- Vikings Moneyline: +115
The Vikings have rebounded nicely since an embarrassing opening loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, falling to the Arizona Cardinals by a point before upsetting the Seahawks. The Browns are a completely different animal, though, who look to be hitting their stride.
New York Giants at New Orleans Saints (-7.5)

- Saints Moneyline: -335
The Giants have simply found ways to lose games against much less threatening opposition, so the Saints should probably be able to walk over a team that is poised to start the season 0-4 for a second-straight season.
Tennessee Titans (-7) at New York Jets

- Jets Moneyline: +250
Speaking of dysfunctional New York teams, the Jets are in just as bad, if not worse shape than the Giants. They haven’t scored a touchdown in their last two games and rookie quarterback Zach Wilson is running for his life and throwing an abundance of interceptions. Should be an easy week for Derrick Henry and the Titans.
Kansas City Chiefs (-7) at Philadelphia Eagles

- Chiefs Moneyline: -310
- Eagles Moneyline: +245
The Chiefs have a chip on their shoulder after starting the season 1-2. Unfortunately for the Eagles, they’re next in Kansas City’s sights. After a miserable effort in Dallas, it’s not going to get much better at home against the defending AFC champions.
Arizona Cardinals at Los Angeles Rams (-4)

- Cardinals Moneyline: +180
- Rams Moneyline: -220
Look what competent quarterbacking can do for the Rams as they are looking like a force out in the NFC West. If you like offense, this game is for you as LA’s attack faces off against a threatening Cardinals unit that is averaging roughly 34 points per game.
Seattle Seahawks at San Francisco 49ers (-3)

- Seahawks Moneyline: +130
- 49ers Moneyline: -150
The 49ers haven’t done much to impress so far this season, but neither have the Seahawks after a pair of disappointing losses to the Titans and Vikings. This might be one of those games where the team that makes the last mistake loses.
Baltimore Ravens at Denver Broncos (-1)

- Ravens Moneyline: -105
- Broncos Moneyline: -115
The Ravens just barely got back on track last week against the Lions, but even Lamar Jackson is going to have his hands full with a Broncos defense that has been the best unit in the NFL this season.
Pittsburgh Steelers at Green Bay Packers (-6.5)
- Over/under 49: -110
- Steelers Moneyline: +230
- Packers Moneyline: -290
The Steelers can’t really be this bad, right? Well, maybe they can. Ben Roethlisberger struggled against the Bengals (the Bengals!) and two straight losses have completely evaporated any good feelings that came with upsetting the Bills in Week 1. Now Aaron Rodgers and the Packers await in Lambeau. Not good.
