Three people were killed and multiple others injured during a violent night across Philadelphia, which included a mass shooting in Fairmount Park during a Memorial Day gathering.
A man was killed in Northeast Philadelphia early Tuesday morning, according to authorities. Police responded to a robbery on East Roosevelt Boulevard shortly after 5 a.m. on Tuesday, May 27, where the gunshot victim later died at the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
At the same time in Kensington, police responded to reports of an individual with a weapon on the 330 block of Amber Street where a 39-year-old man was stabbed multiple times in the stomach by an unknown assailant, according to authorities.
The victim is now in stable condition after being transported to Temple University Hospital. Authorities said the suspect was described as a white male wearing all black clothing.
The scene was secured, no arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
A few hours earlier, at approximately 3 a.m. police responded to reports of an individual with a gun in the 900 block of West Dauphin Street in North Philadelphia, according to authorities. When police arrived, an adult male between the ages of 50 and 60 years old had been shot in the upper right thigh. The victim is now in stable condition.
On Monday night, shortly before 11:30 p.m., police responded to reports of a shooting on the 5800 block of Kemble Avenue in East Germantown, where a 57-year-old man sustained a gunshot graze wound on the back of his head. The victim is in stable condition after being transported to Albert Einstein Medical Center, according to police.
A .40 FCC was recovered at the scene, authorities said. The offender turned himself into police at the 34th and Spruce Street entrance of the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
