Working out doesn’t have to be a chore. There are plenty of creative ways to exercise and energize yourself in and around Center City. You can be gym rat or just wanting to try out something new — here are three places we’ve found to get you moving.

Centered in the middle of the gayborhood this gym is perfect for anyone living in Center City. 12th Street Gym has approximately 70 classes a week for members. Energizing activities in Hip-Hop Dance Fitness, Cycling, Zumba, Tae Bo, and many more varying in range of difficulty. Memberships are about $49/month for a 12-month time period, so don’t lose out on this great opportunity to get yourself moving.

Free yoga sessions during the summer happen twice a day Monday through Thursday, at 7 a.m. and 6 p.m., at 7 a.m. on Friday, and 9:30 a.m. on the weekends. Attendees can even enjoy Twilight Yoga sessions on a full moon, happening June 20, July 18, August 18, September 16 and October 16. Classes end on October 30th, so grab your matt and stretch into that tree pose before it’s too late.

Aerial yoga happens when you add an aerial hammock to your traditional yoga class. Sessions at this Old City studio happen daily, ranging in structure (hammock dance or aerial yoga) and difficulty. People can schedule a one-time Drop-In class for just $20, or new clients can sign up for a week of unlimited aerial yoga and circus classes for just $39.
