3 Georgia Bulldogs the Eagles could target in 2024 NFL Draft

It’s no secret that the Philadelphia Eagles have an affinity for Georgia Bulldogs players. After drafting Jordan Davis and Nakobe Dean in 2022, Howie Roseman doubled down by adding both Jalen Carter and Nolan Smith to a stacked defense. CB Kelee Ringo became the 5th Bulldog to be drafted by Howie in two years, giving the Eagles a formidable unit.

But which Georgia Bulldogs should the Eagles be eyeing up in the 2024 NFL Draft?

Brock Bowers | TE

The Eagles drafted Dallas Goedert when Zach Ertz was the age that Goedert is now. This was a relatively weak TE class, but there is a bonafide star on the horizon and just to make it even more exciting, he’s a Bulldog.

Brock Bowers has been one of the biggest stars on Georgia’s offense. He has 1,824 yards and 20 scores over his two years with the team, along with 165 rushing yards. He also infamously scored a 73-yard touchdown against the Florida Gators, highlighting everything that makes him so special.

Bowers is a little undersized at 6’4, 230 lbs, but this is a man who averages 8 yards after the catch, and who ranked second only to A.J Green in franchise receiving yards during his freshman year – a year he also broke Georgia’s TD record.

Javon Bullard | S

The Eagles have been reluctant to spend hefty assets in the defensive backfield, but if Bullard finds himself in the heart of the first round in 2024, you can expect Howie Roseman and the Birds to have some interest.

Bullard is as versatile as they come but his size may limit him to playing a box role. He racked up 46 tackles (7 TFL) in 2022, along with 3.5 sacks and a pair of picks. He’s the kind of homing missile that the Eagles would love on their defense and he could well be the next piece of the Georgia puzzle.

Sedrick Van Pran | C

The Eagles did draft Cam Jurgens to replace Jason Kelce, but with a seemingly certain promotion to guard, there’s every chance the Eagles decide to keep him there and reinvest at center later. Sedrick Van Pran could be a name worth noting.

SVP was the #1 ranked center in the 2020 class and it’s not hard to see why. At 6’4, 310 lbs, he’s a smaller center who boasts a ton of agility which is something the Eagles crave. While he lacks length, he’s explosive off the snap and plays with a mean streak.

If he can work on how to compensate for his lack of length and deliver power from his lower body instead of losing momentum and pad level by pushing too much from his upper body, he’s going to be a very fun prospect to watch in 2023.
