3 injured in North Philadelphia shooting

A shooting left three people wounded Monday night in North Philadelphia, including a man who was sitting inside his house, according to authorities.

The gunfire occurred at around 9:45 p.m. along the 2700 block of Montgomery Avenue, police said.

One of the victims, a 21-year-old man, was grazed in his thigh when a bullet went through the wall of his home on the 1800 block of N. Marston Street, near the scene of the shooting, investigators said.

Outside, officers found a 29-year-old man with gunshot wounds to his knee and arm, and a 28-year-old man walked into Temple University Hospital’s emergency room after having been shot twice in his right arm, authorities said.

All three men were listed in stable condition following the shooting, according to the PPD.

Detectives discovered two separate but nearby areas where shots had been fired – the 1800 block of N. Etting Street and the corner of Montgomery and Marston, investigators said. Police reportedly recovered at least two dozen shell casings.

No one was arrested in the immediate aftermath of the incident, and the PPD described the suspects as two people inside a dark-colored SUV. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 215-686-8477 or 215-686-8270.
