3 killed, 2 wounded in overnight shootings across Philadelphia

Three people were killed and 2 others wounded in separate shootings across Philadelphia on Wednesday night and early Thursday morning.

Just after 2:30 a.m., police responded to West Cumberland Street, where they found a 31-year-old female with a gunshot wound to her head. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Hours earlier, at approximately 12:15 a.m., a 34-year-old male suffered gunshot wounds to both shoulders in Frankford, authorities said. He was transported to Temple University Hospital, where he died a short time later.

In Northeast Philadelphia, a 19-year-old was killed after being shot numerous times throughout his body at approximately 10:19 p.m. He was later identified as Hashim Gardner.

A 30-year-old male is in critical but stable condition after being shot twice in the back on the 4200 block of Westminster Avenue around 3:30 a.m. Thursday morning, authorities said.

And on Wednesday night, at approximately 10:45 p.m., an 18-year-old man was standing outside his vehicle when a black sedan approached him and started firing, according to police. The victim was shot multiple times in the chest and is currently in critical but stable condition.
