A group of armed men broke into a home in Northeast Philadelphia early Saturday and took an estimated $28,000 and a car, according to investigators.

The home invasion robbery occurred at around 2:30 a.m. on the 6900 block of Horrocks Street in the Castor Gardens section. Two of the four assailants were armed, and they assaulted a 41-year-old man inside the home.

Police said the group seized $10,000 in coins, $8,000 in cash, $10,000 in checks and the keys to a white Toyota.
