Three men were wounded in separate shootings Sunday night and early Monday across Philadelphia.
At around 12:30 a.m. Monday, a 24-year-old man showed up to Einstein Medical Center with a gunshot wound to his arm, authorities said. Investigators believe he was shot a few blocks away from the hospital, on the 4800 block of N. Broad Street.
The PPD said the victim was being treated for nonlife-threatening injuries.
Less than an hour earlier, at around 11:45 p.m. Sunday, officers were called to Einstein for another man, also 24, who had been shot in his hand. Police said he was struck by gunfire that occurred on the 5600 block of Mascher Street in Olney. The victim was listed in stable condition.
In Northeast Philadelphia, police responded to reports of a shooting at around 9:45 p.m. on the 6100 block of Algon Avenue in the Crescentville neighborhood.
Authorities said someone shot a 31-year-old man in the back and that the bullet exited through his abdomen. He is expected to survive, according to the PPD.
Investigators found evidence that shots were fired on the nearby 6100 block of Lovatt Terrace, which is part of the Philadelphia Housing Authority’s Oxford Village development. Detectives recovered 15 spent shell casings in the area.
No arrests were made in the immediate aftermath of any of the shootings, and police did not provide any details about possible motives. Anyone with information is asked to contact the PPD’s Shooting Investigation Group at 215-686-8270 or call or text 215-686-TIPS (8477).
