Three people, including the driver of a bus carrying seniors, were wounded when gunfire erupted Thursday morning just before 9 a.m. on the 200 block of W. Ashdale Street in Olney, authorities said.
Police said a 32-year-old man was shot in the head, and officers took him to Einstein Medical Center in extremely critical condition.
The bus driver, a 56-year-old man, was transporting people to an older adult center when he was shot, police told reporters at the scene. He managed to drive to 9th Street and Roosevelt Boulevard before he was rushed to the hospital, according to multiple media reports.
He was shot in his torso and was being treated for nonlife-threatening injuries following the shooting, authorities said.
The third victim, a 39-year-old man, was hospitalized in stable condition with a gunshot wound to his lower back, according to police.
There was no immediate word on whether any arrests have been made, and authorities have not released a motive.
