Distiller’s Talk & Whiskey Tasting
Headhouse Square hotspot, The Twisted Tail is hosting an extra spirited event this week. The Distiller’s Talk & Whiskey Tasting with Old Elk Master Distiller, Greg Metze is part of The Twisted Tail’s “Tales of the Distiller” series featuring panel-lead, live interviews of local distillers accompanied by spirit tastings. Metze will be joined with a panel made up of Twisted Tail Bourbon Club members, bartenders, and members of the media to discuss the craft of his distilling process plus the 40+ years of experience he has in the industry. The panel will be followed by a whiskey tasting.

Dustbowl Revival
Head to The Fillmore this Thursday to check out popular American roots group, Dustbowl Revival for one night only in the City of Brotherly Love. All eight members will be on stage to play some of their greatest hits including “Got Over,” “Honey I Love You,” “Never Had To Go,” “Get Rid of You,” “Call My Name,” and more. Dustbowl Revival will be celebrating the Jan. 31 release of Is It You, Is It Me? during their tour.

The Common + Yards Brewing Co. Pizza Dinner
Head to West Philly hotspot The Common this week to indulge in a special dinner-time offering. The Common partnered up with Yards Brewing Company to offer a few enticing beer and pizza pairings for just $10 a piece from 5 pm to 10 pm. A few featured pairings include Yard’s Chocolate Love Stout paired with a Burchrun Hills blue, parmigiana, caramelized balsamic vinegar and smoked chicken pizza; Yard’s Loyal Lager paired with a cheese, tomato, mozzarella and basil pizza; Yard’s Golden Hop Belgian paired with a vegetable, eggplant, scallion, broccoli rabe, mozzarella and parmigiana pizza; and more.

Happy Hour with Alice Fenocchio
In part with their new February Wine Series, a.kitchen will be hosting a happy hour with Alice Fenocchio, the granddaughter of famous Barolo producer from Piemonte, Italy, Giacomo Fenocchio. Alice will be discussing her family’s wines, and there is over five centuries worth of info. The happy hour will consist of three wines being poured including the Dolcetto ($8 for 3oz and $13 for 5oz,) the Freisa ($8 for 3oz and $13 for 5oz) and the Barolo ($12 for 3oz and $20 for 5oz.)
