Four teenagers were arrested for allegedly shooting a pizza delivery driver during a robbery Saturday night in Southwest Philadelphia, police said.

At around 11:30 p.m., the victim, a 37-year-old man, drove to the 12th Police District station with a gunshot wound to his left thigh and groin, according to authorities. He was later listed in stable condition at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, the PPD said.

He told officers he had been shot and robbed on the 6700 block of Paschall Avenue in the Elmwood neighborhood, investigators said. He added that the four suspects took the pizzas, wings and cash, according to police.

Police said officers responded to the scene, found a fired .22 caliber cartridge casing and saw two men with pizza boxes exiting a house on the nearby 2200 block of Hobson Street.

One of the teens fled and briefly escaped but was later apprehended in an alleyway behind the 6700 block of Woodland Avenue, investigators said. Police also allegedly recovered a .22 caliber rifle in the back alley.

The other two suspects were taken into custody from inside the Hobson Street home, according to the PPD. Investigators said the four were identified as the alleged perpetrators.

Authorities said a 17-year-old boy was the shooter, and they identified one of the members of the group as Baraka Coffee, 19. The two others arrested were 15 and 16 years old, according to the PPD.

More than 1,000 people have been shot in Philadelphia this year, down about 36% compared to the same date in 2023, according to PPD data.
