In celebration of National Spritz Day, which is this Thursday, Aug. 1, 48 Record Bar is hosting an exciting series of events for audiophiles and cocktail aficionados alike, in addition to launching a brand new delicious deal.
The vinyl listening room and cocktail lounge, located in the heart of Old City, will offer an exclusive menu of dazzling spritzes and several notable events during a weeklong celebration beginning Wednesday, July 31, and running through Sunday, Aug. 4.
48 Record Bar’s drink menu includes their Bittersweet Spritz, a blend of Cocchi Americano, Génépi des Alpes, lemon, orange, and grapefruit bitters, and seltzer; South Spain, a spritz featuring Amontillado Sherry, R&W Orchard Peach, lemon, pomegranate, and seltzer; Suzanna, a mix of Suze, strawberry, lemon, and Cava Rosé; and Rosie, a combination of Tito’s vodka, citrus vodka, pomegranate, honey, lemon, rosewater, and Cava Rosé.
There is also the Polyester Dinosaur, a non-alcoholic option with pineapple, turmeric-honey syrup, ginger, lemon, a Tajin rim, and a choice of ginger ale or seltzer to top it off.
Finally, the sixth drink remains a secret. The only way to know for sure what it might be is to head over and try one for yourself.
As for the entertainment, beginning Wednesday, July 31, there will be an LP release event for Caiola.
Thursday, Aug. 1, will feature a birthday party remembering the life and music of Grateful Dead co-founder and frontman Jerry Garcia with DJ ON MARS, alongside a Nation Spritz Day celebration.
Saturday, Aug. 3, the celebration continues with #GROWNFOLKSZONE, an opportunity to enjoy some sophisticated Funk and Grown Folk Boogie with Fuzzytown Productions and Joey Sweeney.
Finally, on Sunday, Aug. 4, wraps up the festivities with a YACHT ROCK SPECIAL! which features guests Shawn Ryan and Jeffrey Drager.
48 Record Bar has also unveiled a new weekly happy hour feature titled ‘Golden Hour’, which will feature a rotating ‘cocktail of the week’ for just $10. Additionally, their clientele can enjoy $7 spritzes and $4 Miller’s High Life. Unlike the National Spritz Day celebration, Golden Hour is here to stay from 5 to 7 p.m. every Wednesday through Friday.
Tickets for select events will be made available via 48recordbar.com.
