49ers vs Jets: Week 1 of the NFL regular season culminates in a clash between the New York Jets & San Francisco 49ers under the Monday night lights. If you’re looking to bet on the action, we’ve built a Same Game Parlay that could be worth sprinkling into your betting slips tonight.
Date: Monday, September 9th
Time: 8:15 PM ET
Location: Levis Stadium
TV channel: ESPN
Spread: San Francisco 49ers -4 | New York Jets +4
Moneyline: San Francisco 49ers -198 | New York Jets +164
Total: Over/Under 43.5
The San Francisco 49ers bring one of the most explosive offense in the league to the table. They averaged 28.6 points per game last season and return all 11 starters from the group that made the Super Bowl last year. As a result, the Jets are going to need to keep their foot on the gas throughout the contest.
We don’t yet know what Rodgers’ ceiling in New York is, but he’s going to likely spend some time playing off the back foot, meaning this total has plenty of value. Rodgers only eclipsed this mark 5 times in 2022, but he might need to put the game on his back in week 1.
Christian McCaffrey‘s lines are so incredibly high that it makes it difficult to find value. However, with Haason Reddick still absent, that Jets DL is vulnerable off the edge, which might give us some upside on a Deebo rushing prop. He only recorded 25+ on the ground 4 times last year, but with Ricky Pearsall out and the Jets likely keying in on McCaffrey, this could be an instance where Deebo wreaks havoc.
Jennings passed this total in 50% of games played during the 2023 season. Aiyuk could be on a pitch count and Ricky Pearsall is inactive. There’s definitely some upside on a receiver who shined bright in the Super Bowl and this prop feels mispriced.
Yes, these defenses are solid, but the offenses can score in bunches. The Jets looked dangerous at times last year and that was without one of the best to ever do it at QB. Week 1 has been sloppy across the board and I’d expect both teams to find the endzone easily as a result.
