Odd Bits & Misfits Dinner

High Street on Market is hosting this collaborative dinner dedicated towards increasing awareness and accountability of food waste in the ever-growing culinary world. The dinner will feature hors-d’oeuvres, shared plates, house-cured charcuterie and fermented vegetables, followed by a family-style main course and dessert. The delicious chef-driven meal will shine the spotlight on products, purveyors and organizations with common philosophies. Cocktails are at 7 p.m., dinner starts at 7:30 p.m..

“For the Love of Amaro”

East Passyunk hotspot Plenty Café is partnering with the Campari Group for this event that will feature exclusive Amaro tastings- and all Philadelphians are invited. Sample tastings of delicious Campari products will be free during the two-hour window, and Plenty Café will also offer $5 spritzes with the customers’ selection of digestif in their cocktail until closing. As a bonus Plenty Café is also offering specialty cicchetti  (Italian tapas) that originated in Venice throughout the evening. You can be your own Romeo and Juliet at this exciting event featuring over 150 guests, delicious cocktails and games of truth or dare. Need to wipe the slate clean of your ex? Guests can bring photos of their ex and throw them into the Burning Cauldron of Love.

Night Skies in the Observatory 

Join the Franklin Institute for this incredible event that is truly out of this world. Dr. Hakeem Oluseyi, astrophysicist, inventor, and co-host of the Science Channel’s Outrageous Acts of Science will be featured as a special guest. The evening will consist of a live science talk on astronomy and space science, free star maps, hands-on astronomy activities and continuous telescopic observing all evening (if the weather permits of course).
