Stan Hochman Unfiltered
Philadelphia sportswriter Stan Hochman’s legacy as a pivotal figure in local sports is captured in a new book. Gloria Hochman, the late columnist’s wife and a fellow writer compiled almost 100 of his columns in “Stan Hochman Unfiltered”. This new collection of his writing captures the height of his career as a sportswriter in addition to an appearance in “Rocky V” when he played a cranky sportswriter. See Gloria speak about writing the book and honoring her late husband through his work. Philadelphia sportswriter Ray Didinger will also join this event.

Art in the Age Pairing Dinner
Head to spirit and home bar boutique Art in the Age for a very special pairing dinner. 2016 Chef Katie Briggs of Eclectik Domestic teams up with the Old City spirit shop to create a four-course prix fixe menu with expertly paired cocktails. Enjoy a classic winter meal of quail and root veggies paired with a mulled wine Negroni for the main course, and you won’t want to miss this dessert. Chef Briggs’ will prepare a brown butter crème brûlée to go with a brown butter old fashioned. Briggs is a Philadelphia-based chef, activist, and James Beard Women in Culinary Leadership recipient.

DANCE UP CLOSE Tori Lawrence
Artist and dancer Tori Lawrence invites audiences to take a closer look during this inaugural performance of the Dance Up Close series. The mid-winter dance festival shines the spotlight on Philadelphia dancers to welcome audiences to a new type of performance experience. Lawrence is currently an artist-in-residence at Chez Bushwick in Brooklyn and has been featured in festivals around the world.
