Main Line Restaurant Week is here, and if you still haven’t decided where to reserve a table for a culinary treat, we’ve got a few options for you.
Main Line Today and Today Media, a multi-platform communications company, announced the debut of Main Line Today Restaurant Week with a 14-day culinary celebration that will showcase the talents of top chefs and restaurants in Montgomery, Delaware and Chester counties. On top of the festivities brought on by eateries, the event will also spotlight and highlight local purveyors in a campaign that encourages restaurants to support small, local farmers and other suppliers.
The event runs from Aug. 23 to Sept. 5 and features 30+ restaurants showcasing their talents from the kitchen. Among those picks, there are a few that stand out for a variety of reasons, and here’s the delicious scoop on each one.
Alessandro’s Wood-Fired Italian & Bar
This one is an easy pick seeing how it won an award through Best of Main Line in 2021. For this event, the Wayne eatery will be showcasing arancini (traditional Sicilian risotto balls with saffron, ground beef and peas, served with spicy marinara) or Insalata Limone (with romaine, lemon vinaigrette, parmigiana cheese ) for its first course choices, shrimp scampi (sauteed shrimp with calabrian chili, baby heirloom tomatoes, garlic, parsley, and lemon over linguine pasta) or chicken scarpariello (sausage, hot cherry peppers, onion, potatoes, tossed in honey agrodolce) for its second choice and a toss-up between a cannoli and tiramisu for dessert.

La Cabra Brewing
This hidden gem is letting the secret out on what they have to offer for Main Line Restaurant Week. At La Cabra, diners can find a street Corn Caesar salad with Grilled corn, a selection of tacos (jerk chicken, buffalo chicken or fish all served on corn tortillas with choice of tortilla chips or house salad) plus a dessert that includes dulche de leche bread pudding with bananas and vanilla ice cream. On top of all of the food, diners also get a pint of their choice while there.

Amis Trattoria
Philadelphians can pull up a chair at Amis Trattoria for your favorite Italian fare with plenty of vegetarian and gluten free options as well. To start off, diners can pick two dishes with choices including crispy Brussel sprouts, Cacio e Pepe fries, citrus and herb cured olives, cripsy eggplant chips or stracciatella bruschetta, along with a salad (little gem Cesar or lolla rossa strawberry) and a variety of pasta as your entree (think bucatini, rigatoni bolognese or tonnarelli Cacio e Pepe.)

Terrain
This place has it all in terms of food, drinks and atmosphere for Main Line’s Restaurant Week. Terrain is another Best of Main Line winner for this year and for the culinary event, visitors can sink their teeth into mushroom soup, quinoa fritters, truffle pecorino french fries or a green chickpea hummus board for starters, their choice of avocado or salmon toast and then their choice between shrimp and heirloom grits, BBQ pork shoulder and duck confit for their entree.

Stove and Tap-All Three Locations
What’s special about this brand is that Philadelphians have three different venues to choose from, but each one holds the same tasty menu for the food festivities this month. Locals might recognize the names behind the eateries as well—Joseph Monnich, one of partners of Stove and Co. was Exec Chef formerly at Parc and former Chef at Dandelion. Diners who head to Stove and Tap in Malvern, West Chester or Lansdale can check out their RW menu featuring creamy corn and zucchini chowder, crispy tuna tacos, grilled shrimp and pineapple skewers for an app, smothered lamb t-bone steaks, grilled branzino or braised short rib for a main and then a chefs selection of assorted desserts.
