Seven people were wounded in various violent incidents over the weekend across Philadelphia, according to authorities.

Officers responded to a report of a stabbing just after 9:15 a.m. Sunday morning on the 1900 block of East Tioga St. in Kensington, where they found an adult female who had suffered a stab wound to her abdomen, police say. She was transported to Temple University Hospital by the responding officers and is currently in stable condition, authorities said.

No arrests have been made in this incident, and the investigation is ongoing with East Detectives.

Earlier, just after 6:45 a.m., local medics discovered an adult male suffering from a stab wound to his left chest at F and Clearfield streets. According to police, he was transported to Temple University Hospital and is in stable condition.

The investigation is active and under the investigation of East Detectives, police said.

Authorities responded to a call for a person with a gun just before 2:45 a.m. near 55th and Girard Avenue in West Philadelphia. Upon arrival, police were called over by a 24-year-old male who had suffered a graze wound to his right shoulder. He was then taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where he was placed in stable condition.

According to police, preliminary details suggest the incident stemmed from a domestic dispute, during which a female associate of the victim’s girlfriend allegedly fired at him before fleeing the scene in a white Nissan sedan.

No arrests have been made in this incident, and the investigation is active and ongoing, police said.

Officers responded to a report of a shooting and a large crowd just before 1:30 a.m., where they found a male with gunshot wounds to the back and thigh. He was then transported to Temple University Hospital, where he was placed in stable condition.

Shortly after, a juvenile male and an adult female arrived at the hospital, both having suffered gunshot injuries. They were taken to the hospital by private vehicle, and are in stable condition, according to authorities.

Police identified a crime scene in the courtyard of a nearby housing complex. There, officers recovered bullet casings, fragments, and blood evidence.

Shortly after the shooting, police responded to a separate incident in which an off-duty officer was struck by a vehicle that ran a red light near the scene of the original shooting. The vehicle fled before police arrived, authorities said.

The injured off-duty officer was taken to Temple University Hospital, where he was placed in stable condition. According to police, the fleeing vehicle, which had a visible bullet hole in the windshield, was later recovered and towed as part of the continued investigation.

Police said that reports suggest the shooting began as several unidentified males opened fire during a fight at a gathering. The investigation remains ongoing with SIG.

Anyone with information about any of these violent incidents is asked to call or text the PPD’s tip line at 215-686-TIPS (8477).
