A field trip into wine country, with Jet Wine Bar

Grown ups can take field trips, too.

Always wanted to crack open a bottle of wine on a field trip? It might not have been the best idea when your seventh-grade class went to the science museum, but it sure sounds good now. On Sunday, Jet Wine Bar (1525 South St.) is hosting a bus trip to wine country.

The first stop is Blair Vineyards. Sample the pinot gris and pinot noir and feast on a picnic lunch provided by Jet, then hop back on the bus to Pinnacle Ridge, where more pinot will be poured. The day starts at Jet at 11 a.m. with a champagne toast. Snag your tickets, $65, at www.jetwinebar.com.
