Action Wellness has been known to put some bling in Bingo, and that rings true for the return of the organization’s popular tradition, GayBINGO.
2025-26 marks the 30th anniversary for the fundraising series, with the first iteration this season set to kick off on Saturday, Sept. 6, with the theme of Pink Pony Club.
“We are so thrilled to celebrate the 30th anniversary of GayBINGO. This year signifies a remarkable milestone celebrating three decades of supporting individuals living with HIV, while providing a fun and inclusive atmosphere for all participants,” said Action Wellness Executive Director, Mary Evelyn Torres.

“Over this past year, I’ve had the privilege of meeting longtime attendees who have been part of this event for years, even decades, as well as first-time guests who had always wanted to experience the magic for themselves. It’s truly inspiring to witness our community come together, month after month, in celebration, solidarity, and support. We are especially thankful to the BVDs and other great volunteers, our fabulous hostess Carlotta Ttendant and our incredible sponsors.”
All sessions will take place at the Congregation Rodeph Shalom in Philadelphia (615 N. Broad St.), with doors opening at 6 p.m. As a release notes, Bingo starts at 7 p.m. with an “over-the-top performance” by the Bingo Verifying Divas (aka the BVDs). Game hosts Carlotta Ttendant and Stella D’oro will then make their grand entrance to guide the audience through the game. During the games, sponsors and community leaders participate on stage by calling the Bingo numbers and sharing their stories. At intermission, the BVD’s take the floor for themed musical numbers.
Dates include the opening in September, plus, GayBINGO with the themes of Rocky Horror Picture Show (Oct. 18), Wicked: For Good (Nov. 8, this session also includes a holiday toy drive), ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas (Dec. 13, includes the toy drive), Superhero Smash (Jan. 17), Cupid’s Masquerade (Feb. 14), Boogie Wonderland (March 14), Sitcom Moms (April 11), Happy 30th Birthday (May 9, this session includes a Back to School drive) and a Rainbow Bombshell edition (June 13, this finale includes a Pride celebration).

This continuous event acts as a fundraising support for Action Wellness. The nonprofit organization supports people living with chronic illnesses, including HIV with services spanning medical case management, perinatal care, prison outreach programs, housing and Buddy services.
“There’s no greater feeling than seeing the joy, the laughter, the incredible talent, and the unwavering dedication that fills the room every month,” finishes Torres. “We are deeply honored to continue this legacy. But our work is far from over. Now more than ever, we need the public’s support as we continue to serve and uplift those in our community living with HIV.”
Tickets for the new season are $50 each. Starting with this season, tickets are available directly on the Action Wellness website, actionwellness.org
