The driver and confidant of Attorney General Kathleen Kane has been found guilty of violating a protective order by snooping through office mail.
Patrick Reese, a former police chief,faces up to six months in jail for criminal contempt of court, the AP reported. Judge William Carpenter issued a protective order thatbanned him from searching the office email archives for information related to the grand jury investigation surrounding Kane, CBS Philly reported. Reese’s defense attorney argued that his client was never served with the protective order, CBS reported. However, prosecution argued that Reese had such a close relationship with Kane that it was “inconceivable” that he was unaware of the order.
