Little Walter’s has long been known for their innovative takes on traditional Polish favorites. Soon, owner and chef Michael Brenfleck’s acclaimed contemporary Polish restaurant and bar will be expanding their service and launching a new, all-day Sunday menu focusing on innovative brunch fare and cocktails.
The launch is set for Sunday, March 23, and will run from noon to 8 p.m. every Sunday thereafter.
“We’ve been toying with the idea of expanding to Sunday service since we opened in June of last year, and by doing so, tailoring a menu that’s slightly more brunch-friendly while still showcasing our signature item,” Brenfleck said. “We’re super proud of the new food and drink available exclusively on Sundays, and we can’t wait to introduce this new menu to our incredible neighbors and loyal patrons as we gear up for the spring and summer seasons!”
It may not be the most thought-of meal, but brunch may be the most enjoyable meal. Now, folks in and around Philadelphia, be they natives or traveling through, can enjoy the comforts and tradition of one of the city’s most notable spots for Polish cuisine in a brand new way.
Those already familiar with Little Walter’s also now have a brand new day to indulge in the restaurant’s delicious signature and seasonal offerings with a boast of new, brunch-forward plates, including their showstopping Niedzielny Kurczak (Polish for “Sunday Chicken”), a family-style entrée served with herb potatoes and cabbage, Tost z Awokado, toasted rye with avocado, jammy egg, and horseradish, and much more.

Little Walter’s Sunday menu will also feature notable fan favorites such as their kiełbasa, which is comprised of pork shoulder, coriander, and marjoram; Pierogi Ruskie, made with potato, farmer cheese, caramelized onion, and sour cream; surówka, a selection of raw and pickled vegetable salads; and, of course, gołabki, which is rolled cabbage stuffed with brisket, brown rice, and roasted tomato sauce.
But what would brunch be without some sensational seasonal sippers? Little Walter’s has that covered as well, featuring a number of options including their riff on a Bloody Mary, which they’ve titled: Rewolucyjny, comprised of tomato juice, Polish mustard, horseradish, and vodka; their Narzędziowiec, made with orange juice, bison grass vodka, and mint. Little Walter’s also has their own version of the Espresso Martini, that they call Baristka — a delicious concoction of Herman’s Coffee espresso, coffee liqueur and Polish vodka.

As part of this change, Little Walter’s has also updated their service hours during the week, changing their hours of operation Wednesday through Saturday, when they will be open from 4—6 p.m. for happy hour, and 5–10 p.m. for dinner. This, of course, is in addition to the new Sunday hours from noon to 8 p.m. One aspect that has not changed is that reservations, as always, are highly encouraged and can be made via Resy.
