Back on Memorial Day, Sixers coach Doug Collins fainted at a coffee shop in Arizona due to low blood pressure. He cracked three ribs and suffered a concussion. Now he knows how DeSean Jackson feels.
More than five months later, Collins is still feeling the effects of that concussion. He has been suffering from vertigo and was forced to watch the second half of Wednesday’s win from the bench. Top assistant Michael Curry manned the clipboard.
“These football players now, I understand what they deal with,” Collins said. “But it’s all good.”
Things still aren’t looking good for the Sixers at 1-4, but they are looking better after finally getting in the win column. The host Cleveland (1-3) on Friday
Barring an unexpected setback, the Sixers confirmed that Collins will be back on the bench.
