Alleged car burglar arrested for firing shots at police

A man was arrested today for shooting at police in East Germantown early this morning.

The man, whose identity is not yet being released, was allegedly caught by police breaking into a car on the 300 block of Elwood Street shortly before 6 a.m. when he ran, sparking a foot pursuit.

During the chase, he fired several shots at officers, police said. No one was injured.

The man was later arrested on the 300 block of Shedaker Street in Logan.
