Asante Samuel: Eagles don’t want me there

Asante Samuel’s act might be wearing thin.

Samuel’s name once again came up in trade rumors last week before Tuesday’s NFL trade deadline. While the ball-hawking cornerback wasn’t traded, the implication that he might be seems to have irked Samuel.

“It doesn’t sit well with me,” Samuel told 97.5 The Fanatic over the weekend. “I’ve been nothing but what they expected me to be when they brought me there. … And obviously they don’t want me there, so life goes on. So we’ll see where I’ll be at.”

Samuel has been at the center of trade talks since training camp, right after the Eagles acquired Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and then signed Nnamdi Asoumgha.
