Atlantic County, N.J., man accused of stalking victims on Facebook

An Atlantic County, N.J., man has been arrested for allegedly stalking several people on Facebook.

Craig Wyatt Jr., 20, of Hamilton Township, is charged with multiple counts of terroristic threats, theft of services and harassment.

Authorities said that in July, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children notified the New Jersey State Police that someone using the name Jimmy Raketerra sent a threatening message to a juvenile from Browns Mills, N.J. On Aug. 3, Voorhees Township police contacted state police about four separate juvenile victims receiving threatening Facebook messages.

After investigators sent out a bulletin to all New Jersey law enforcement agencies, 21 departments found additional victims who reported being threatened by the same person.

Detectives identified Wyatt as the suspect, and interviewed him on Sept. 20. Wyatt allegedly admitted to using multiple Facebook accounts, email addresses and phone numbers to communicate with his victims. Wyatt allegedly told the victims they had a few weeks to live, so they should spend their time wisely.

He is being held at the Atlantic County Jail in lieu of $35,000 bail. Criminal charges are pending from more than 15 other law enforcement agencies.
