Attempted robbery leads to triple stabbing at Bustleton carnival

An attempted robbery at a Bustleton carnival turned into a triple stabbing Friday night, police said.

The victims were approached by three unknown men demanding money at the BVM Carnival on the 9300 block of Old Bustleton Avenue around 10:20 p.m.

A fight broke out between the two groups. One of the suspects pulled out a knife, while the other was armed with brass knuckles.

One of the victims was stabbed in the neck. He is in stable condition at Frankford-Torresdale Hospital. The second victim suffered a cut to his left calf, while the third had a swollen left eye and a slash on his arm. They took themselves to Frankford-Torresdale for evaluation.

Nothing was taken in the brawl, police said. The offenders fled on foot. Police are looking for three white men, the first about 16 years old and wearing a gray t-shirt and khakis. The second appeared to be 15 and was wearing a blue shirt and blue jeans. There is no further information available on the third offender.
