However, many students were reportedly angry that they had to come to school following the bedbug report and parents wanted cleaning crews to finish before the students returned.

According to the letter from the district, exterminators steamed and vacuumed the school. The school will be treated again next week when students are on spring break, ABC6 Philadelphiareported.

”They need to close the school, because I don’t see how they can let the kids go to school like that,” parent Shonda Nixon said to ABC6.”Really, this stuff is coming from out the school, inside homes, and if we keep them out of school we get in trouble.”

Fox29 reported that the principal threatened punishment for the students who left school early because of the bedbug situation.
