During this unprecedented time, the need for different delivery options—specifically pertaining to food and drinks—has never been quite so vital. For some, leaving the house is not an option whether it be for self-quarantining, monitoring symptoms or simply being a bit anxious to leave the comfort of your home during a pandemic. Whatever your reason may be, there are options from Baldor Specialty Foods to help sustain us during social distancing, and luckily it’s all quite delicious.
According to a release, Baldor Specialty Foods, one of the largest wholesale importers and distributors of fresh produce and specialty foods in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions, announced recently that it will be expanding its home delivery service into the Boston and Philadelphia metro-areas and making its vast inventory of thousands of fresh produce and other food items available for consumers to order online.
This announcement comes after immense success for Baldor’s delivery services in the New York City area. Baldor has always prided themselves on providing quality products that you can trust, and adding the new delivery options is an incredible bonus for consumers. With over 1,000 partner farms, it’s easy to see why people do trust Baldor to convey their promise of providing only the highest standard of locally sourced products.
Baldor Specialty Foods“We were impressed by the level of interest in New York, it just made sense to offer the same convenient service to people residing in some of the other large markets we service,” said Baldor’s CEO, TJ Murphy in the release. “We’re keeping our employees busy, our food moving through the supply chain, and most importantly, providing a valuable service to customers in the communities we serve who prefer to have their food delivered during these challenging times.”
Baldor launched its new delivery service just last week, and those living in the City of Sisterly Love and roughly within a 15-mile radius will be able to now take advantage of their services.
With this new delivery option, Baldor is aiming to alleviate the pressure and shortages with grocery stores and offer a bit of relief for those who would rather stay at home.
The release states, with a minimum order of $250 (tax and delivery included), consumers will be able to order the foods they need the most—including fresh produce, meat and poultry, dairy, and other food staples. The company plans to leverage its website, large fleet of trucks, army of drivers and its extensive network of farms and specialty food vendors to serve consumers in the New York, Boston and now Philadelphia metro areas.
“As large a company as Baldor is, we continue to pride ourselves at being nimble and able to move quickly for our customers,” said Benjamin Walker, Baldor’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing in the release. “Our food logistics are some of the best in the country and it would be a shame for it not to be of good use during this time in our history. We are excited to be able to share our service with New York, Boston and Philadelphia-area consumers who are staying at home and doing their part by practicing social distancing.”
The way Baldor can achieve its new delivery option is quite simple: Baldor’s team of professional delivery associates will make the home deliveries while on route to and from the local restaurants and food-service establishments they continue to serve in the allotted areas.
Being one of the largest importers and distributors of fresh produce and specialty foods in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions, Baldor’s catalog of edible products are more than just convenient, its impressive and will make this time a little more fresh for your tastebuds and a bit less stressful overall.
