A Baltimore man who allegedly stabbed an employee early Monday morning inside a bathroom at 30th Street Station has been charged with attempted murder and other crimes.
Authorities believe 39-year-old Adiren Mayo pulled out a pocket knife and stabbed a 41-year-old man who was working at the station during an altercation inside the restroom at around 12:45 a.m. Monday.
The employee was rushed to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center with two wounds to his chest, investigators said. He is expected to survive, according to police.
Mayo was apprehended a short time after the stabbing. He was charged Tuesday with attempted murder, aggravated assault, possession of a weapon, simple assault and reckless endangerment.
Bail for Mayo was set at 10% of $150,000, according to court records.
