A judge has denied Bill Cosby’s latest attempt to stop his prosecution on sexual assault charges, according to multiple reports.
Cosby had appealed a decision by Montgomery CountyJudge Steven T. O’Neill to let his prosecution proceed, his lawyers arguing the case should be put on hold.He had sought to have the case dismissed, claiming he was promised charges would not be brought related to assault allegations from 2004.

“An immediate appeal from these orders would not materially advance the ultimate termination of the matter,” Judge Steven T. O’Neill wrote,according to Philly.com.
Cosby is due back in court for a preliminary hearing March 8.
