Black Friday Philly: animal agencies offer cheap adoptions

This Black Friday weekend, thousands of Philadelphians will head to stores to start shopping for holiday gifts.

But also on sale will be four legged friends for life, as local animal welfare agencies offer Black Friday specials of their own.

ACCT Philly is offering fee-waived adoptions all Black Friday weekend, from their main shelter.

“By adopting a pet, you’re giving love and a home to a pet in need,” said Vincent Medley, Executive Director of ACCT Philly. “What greater gift is there?”

Regular adoption screenings and procedures will be in place at ACCT.

Meanwhile, the PSPCA has been sponsored by Zappos.com to offer completely free adoptions to approved adopters all day long as part of “Home for the Pawlidayz” on Saturday, Nov. 25.

All adoption fees for dogs and cats will be paid by Zappos at the locations listed below on Nov. 25.
