Joey “Eye” Intrieri, it’s time for your close-up. The colorful local boxing promoter, renowned “cut man” and actor is the subject of a bidding war between rival networks. After seeing his sizzle reel, Discovery Channel and A&E are looking at Eye’s mannerisms and ba-da-bing lexicology for a reality show following him through his exploits in the boxing world and beyond.
West Philly’s first family of the mural, the Tiberinos, is big on birthdays. Ellen Tiberino just celebrated hers with an exhibit at Vintage Wine Bar, and Raphael will hold his birthday art show at Locust Moon Comics on June 20.
Congrats to Philly-born rapper/actress Eve for marrying in advance of her originally planned mega-nuptials in Ibiza. Her pal DJ Steve Aoki tweeted a photo of himself, Lady Eve and groom/multi-millionaire Maximillion Cooper.
The annual Great Chefs Event for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation and the Vetri Foundation for Children at Urban Outfitters HQ raised about $1 million, including $10,000 for dinner at Vetri’s private dining room with Bobby Flay and tutu-wearing staff. Another fundraiser, 102.9 WMGK’s John DeBella Veterans Radiothon raised $144,173 to benefit Philly vets. Raspy rocker Rod Stewart donated $10,000 and a guitar, autographed during his December Wells Fargo Center gig, which earned another $2,500 via eBay.
Philly poet/PR guy Gravy Thomas brings his punk-funk ensemble Phil Moore Brown out of hiding for the Rockers Galore record release gig at Johnny Brenda’s June 21.

On Friday the 13th, Hillary Clinton and “Hairspray” director John Waters both made book tour stops at the Free Library on the Parkway. Waters joked that Hillary’s book, “Hard Choices,” “sounded like the title of a gay porn film.”
