Breaking bad: Leighton expected to miss month

Michael Leighton is expected to miss a month due to a bulging lower disk in his back, according to Flyers GM Paul Holmgren.

The prognosis came one day after Holmgren said his No. 1 goalie should be able to practice tomorrow.

“We’re going to put him on the shelf for about a month,” Holmgren said.

Flyers forward Ian Laperriere is also out indefinitely with post-concussion symptoms.
