A Bucks County woman who traveled to Florida for spring break was found dead inside a hotel room last week after two men allegedly drugged and raped her, according to multiple media reports.
Two North Carolina men, 21-year-old Evoire Collier and 24-year-old Dorian Taylor, are accused of attacking the victim, 24-year-old Christine Englehardt, in South Beach.
Authorities are working to determine Englehardt’s cause of death, and Collier and Taylor have both been charged with burglary with battery, sexual battery, petty theft and the fraudulent use of a credit card, according to a Miami Herald report.
Collier told investigators he gave Englehardt “a green pill” which he believed to be Percocet, a prescription opioid, the Herald reported. The pair took her back to a hotel, sexually assaulted her as she lost consciousness and stole her cellphone and credit cards, authorities allege.
Englehardt was born in Richboro and attended Council Rock North High School, according to the Inquirer. A GoFundMe page to raise money for her funeral expenses had received $40,000 in donations as of Wednesday evening.
Collier and Taylor are being held without bail.
