Police in Bucks County have announced an arrest in a 1984rape and murder.
The decomposed body of Barbara Rowan was found in a wooded area — reportedly by somone walking their dog — on Aug. 16, 1984, about two weeks after her parents reported her missing.

“The case remained active for years,” said BensalemPublic safety director Fred Harran.
Investigators believe Rowan was secretly babysitting Shaw’s daughterto raise money for her struggling family, the Bucks County CourierTimes reported. Shaw allegedly drugged her, then raped her, the paper said. RELATED:Jack Maxwell, Philly’s cold case specialist
Sanders is accused of helping Shaw dispose of the girl’s body.
Both men are expected to be transported to Bucks County to face charges.
