Bustleton man struck and killed while painting fence

A man painting a fence was stuck and killed by a car in the Bustleton section of Northeast Philadelphia this morning, police said.

The fatal accident happened on the 600 block of Red Lion Road around 6:45 a.m. The victim, 42, was pronounced dead on the scene less than ten minutes later. His identity has not yet been released.

The male driver, 22, was hospitalized with shoulder pain and two other men were treated for minor injuries. No charges have been filed at this time. The Accident Investigation Division is on the scene attempting to determine what caused the deadly crash
