Butt-injection vic wanted services, witness testifies at murder trial of ‘Black Madam’
A witness in the murder trial of Padge-Victoria Winslowe, charged with causing a woman’s death via illegal silicone butt injection, testified Thursday that the victim asked for the service.
Scheffee Wilson acknowledged that she helped set up the butt injection appointment for the woman who died, Claudia Seye Aderotomi of England, who was her cousin.
Aderotomi, 20, died 12 hours after the February 2011 injection.
Winslowe was arrested a year later, at another “pumping party” in February 2012, after which a 23-year-old woman had to be hospitalized.
Winslowe was charged with aggravated assault for the injuries to the woman, 23, and third-degree murder for Aderotomi’s death.
Winslowe, 43, a transgender recording artist and performer known as “Black Madam,” defended herself against murder charges in a letter she sent from prison to Metro.
She claimed she offered to plead guilty to involuntary manslaughter charges and was willing to serve “the maximum sentence” (five years), but that offer was denied.
Winslowe said she has used these same silicone injections on her own body for years.”
“The Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office would like to promote thought that it was greed, recklessness and malice that fueled my conduct, however I swear that my aim was noble in nature,” Winslowe wrote to Metro. “I simply really just loved the feeling of feeling that I was helping others feel more beautiful, wonderful and magical about themselves.”
Testimony is scheduled to continue in the trial today.
