Cake Life Bake Shop is known for its artisanal treats and themed sugared concoctions, but later this month, the Fishtown venue is also hosting a cookie decorating class that is “deliciously dirty.”

The bakery’s Dessert After Dark event offers Philadelphians the chance to participate in an NSFW cookie decor class through an intimate environment on Thursday, June 27, with two seatings at 6:30 and 8 p.m. The sessions will feature, as the release describes,  a spread of themed snacks and the chance to decorate anatomically-apt treats, enjoy free-flowing bubbly beverages, and revel in “seductive, luxurious décor” courtesy of the boutique, woman-owned tablescape company, Citrine.

Dessert After Dark will be hosted by ‘Cupcake War’ winner and Cake Life co-founder Lily Fischer, and the sugar-filled soiree will take place at the venue (1306 Frankford Ave.) with tickets available now online for $85 per person.

“We’re so excited to bring back our cookie decorating classes after a long hiatus – it’s one of the most frequent requests we receive!” said Fischer in a statement. “It’s a super fun, simple, naughty evening out with friends or partners; whoever likes kinky cookies.”

How the event works: The decor from Citrine will set the stage, but the class itself will first start with a complimentary beverage, and then Fischer will guide attendees through frosting, piping, and sprinkling gingerbread, chocolate and vanilla cookies to create the kinky, body-positive treats.

Other snacks and treats will also be available during the occasion with bites from Cake Life and beverages courtesy of Phizzie, the brand-new premium hard seltzer from Philadelphia Brewing Co. (flavors span lemon lime or grapefruit) and while there, participants can also try a featured mocktail crafted using The Pathfinder Hemp and Root, house-made strawberry syrup, lemonade and club soda

The bites being served up during the event from Cake Life  include jalapeno popper croissants, “poppin’ tarts”, colorful cupcakes, biscuits, scones and other treats. The event will also feature an array of housemade offerings from Cake Life’s robust coffee bar menu with classic or flavored lattes, cappuccinos, iced coffee and more also being poured up.

Cake Life Bake Shop is woman, trans, and immigrant-owned and as they say “undoubtedly sex-positive and kink-friendly.” As the release notes, open since 2013, the bakery has sought to create a fun, safe place for all forms of queer expression that cross their path through events, themed treats, and partnerships with local nonprofits benefitting the LGBTQ+ community and beyond. This class is just another tasty facet of that ideology.
