CCP says tuition to be free for low-income families

Community College of Philadelphia has announced a new program to offer free tuition to students from low income families.

Seniors graduating from city high schools this spring, who come from low-income families and meet other requirements, will be eligible.

The funds will come from federal Pell grants and the school itself, which will fund-raise to support the new program.

To be eligible, students must apply by June 1 at ccp.edu/scholars.
