Rejoice! Today is National Taco Day and that means you must indulge this much loved Mexican dish in every way imaginable. From El Vez to Aqimero to Bar Bombon, there are so many options here. Perhaps tacos should get their own week — one day is simply not enough, especially when you live in Philly. Aqimero Located inside the stylish Ritz Carlton hotel, Aqimero makes your taco experience a classy one. Try the Lobster Taco while you’re here. It comes with chile de arbol salsa, black beans and avocado. Bar Bombon Remember when we did our feature on those buffalo cauliflower tacos at Bar Bombon? Here’s a second reminder to give them a whirl — whether you eat meat or not.
El Vez This Starr restaurant has all sorts of pizazz, from the pop of the decor to the extensive Mexican-American menu options. Their sea bass tacos are a must-try and come with sweet potato puree, fried jalapeno and grilled scallion. Paladar Kitchen and Rum Bar This restaurant has locations around the country but recently opened their first Pennsylvania location in King of Prussia. Be sure to try their blackened fish tacos with pickled onion and pineapple slaw. If you love mixing spicy and sweet, this is definitely the taco for you.
