Clover Market is kicking off their handful of open-air markets on Sunday, April 9in Chestnut Hill. The Spring Kickoff will be the first of six markets, bringing together over 240 vendors of antiques, vintage jewelry and clothing, handmade crafted items and original art to several downtown streets in the Philadelphia region.
Beginning in 2010, the Clover Market has provided opportunities for independent and local artists, artisans, and dealers to engage directly with customers and interested buyers. Not only does it serve as a way for them to get their products out there, but it also gives the local community a platform to buy handmade, unique items.
Extending beyond Philadelphia, Clover Market even attracts antique dealers and craftsmen from as far south as North Carolina and as far north as Maine. Attendees should also expect to find local nonprofits, animal rescue groups and arts-based organizations participating as featured community partners.
Besides the incredible selection of homemade knick knacks, paintings and antiques, the markets will also include a variety of gourmet food trucks, like Philly’s cheese on-wheels Say Cheese, Fishtown’s Weckerly’s Ice Creamand Jersey’s Bonjour Creperie.
There will also be crafts for kids and live music from Lost Highway String Band. Take advantage of the (hopefully sunny) springtime weather to explore Clover Market and pick up a beautifully crafted gift for your friend, your significant other or yourself.
